Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Ashford is seeking a Technical Author to prepare a range of technical documentation for QTS products, supporting the Field Services Team with conformity and procedural materials for electrical and mechanical systems.

You will deliver illustrated parts catalogues, manuals and training materials, working to the priorities of the Technical Publications Manager, and collaborating across departments to ensure customer-focused, timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing technical publications, preferably in an engineering environment.
• Understanding of CAD systems and ability to adapt CAD models for publication use.
• Structured, customer-focused documentation development with tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentation materials and support the Training Material Developer.
• Create graphics, CAD images, and illustrations for manuals and publications.
• Provide general documentation support across departments and projects.
• Assist Field Services in producing conformity and procedural documents for a wide customer base.
• Maintain working knowledge of QTS products.
