Job summary

Etex, a leader in building materials, is seeking a Technical Application Engineer to translate customer requirements into compliant façade and firestopping solutions across the UK and beyond.

The role supports projects through design clarification, documentation, and after-sales assistance, collaborating with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and external partners.

Travel to the Measham site is required; the role can be based anywhere in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for façade and firestopping solutions ensuring standards compliance.
• Translate customer requirements into Promat system solutions.
• Support projects through design clarification, documentation, and after-sales support.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specs, drawings, and guidance.
• Respond to technical enquiries from customers and partners.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, R&D to deliver effective solutions.
• Support growth of FSI-Promat firestopping and façade solutions internationally.
• Liaise with testing houses and certification bodies as needed.
• Ensure recommendations are accurate and aligned with product capabilities.
• Contribute to process improvements and reusable resources.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities.

Join us as Technical Application Engineer! This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel to our Measham site.

As a Technical Application Engineer, you will play a key role in translating customer requirements into tailored, compliant solutions. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, supporting façade and firestopping applications across the UK and internationally. You will help ensure solutions are technically robust, standards-compliant, and aligned with Promat's commitment to technical excellence and customer support.

What you’ll do:

• Provide technical support for façade and firestopping solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Translate customer requirements into practical and technically sound Promat system solutions.
• Support projects throughout the technical case lifecycle, from design clarification and documentation through to after-sales assistance.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and application guidance.
• Respond to technical enquiries from customers, architects, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and other internal stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
• Support the growth of FSI-Promat firestopping solutions in the UK and Promat façade solutions across international markets.
• Liaise with external testing houses, certification bodies, and industry partners where required.
• Ensure technical recommendations are accurate, practical, and aligned with Promat product capabilities.
• Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of technical application processes and resources.
• Support multiple projects and technical cases simultaneously, managing priorities and delivering timely resolutions.
