Job summary

Qualifications

• Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or equivalent professional body.
• Experience in offsite construction, MMC, modular construction or light gauge steel framing.
• Knowledge of façades, external wall systems and cladding technologies.
• Ability to ensure designs meet fire safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire engineering assessments and provide expert guidance on building systems, façades, and product applications.
• Review designs, specifications, and construction details for fire safety compliance.
• Prepare technical reports, fire engineering assessments, and certification applications.
• Manage fire safety certification processes and maintain records.

The Construction Systems Engineer plays a key role in advancing Evolusion’s strategic commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability within the built environment. Operating at a mid-level with medium degree of technical autonomy, he/she will be responsible for supporting the product development, testing, and validation of innovative offsite construction systems and products. The role combines fire engineering expertise with product development, fire testing, fire safety, building and façade inspections, and technical project management.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct fire engineering assessments and provide expert technical guidance on building systems, façades, and product applications.
• Review designs, specifications, and construction details to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare technical reports, fire engineering assessments, certification applications, and compliance documentation.
• Manage fire safety certification processes and maintain certification records to support ongoing compliance.
• Carry out site and façade inspections, assessing fire performance, installation quality, and adherence to approved designs and standards.
• Identify fire safety risks, non-conformities, and compliance issues, providing practical recommendations and corrective actions.
• Support clients, contractors, and project teams with technical queries and compliance-related challenges.
• Drive innovation by developing and implementing best practices, sustainable solutions, and advances in construction systems and fire safety engineering.
• Ensure all systems, designs, and documentation meet relevant safety, environmental, and performance requirements.
• Contribute to business development activities across the UK, Ireland, and international markets

What you’ll bring:
