Job summary

tem is hiring a Tech Lead for the Payments squad within Saldo. You will own the squad's delivery, write design docs, review code, and drive the technical direction for payments at scale.

The role is remote-first with a fast-growing fintech mindset, reporting to the Saldo Service Manager. You will lead from the front, coaching others while resolving complex challenges to reduce cost-to-process.

Qualifications

• Track record as a tech lead responsible for squad delivery and standards.
• Experience writing design docs, reviewing PRs and ADRs, solving problems hands-on.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with coaching junior engineers and setting direction.

Responsibilities

• Own the squad's delivery and standards; ensure the team ships quality work.
• Write specs and design docs; review PRs/ADRs; solve problems directly through code.
• Define payments architecture and set the squad's operating model for speed, quality and resilience.
• Cut cost-to-process by improving payment accuracy and efficiency.
• Diagnose throughput issues and keep stakeholders informed.
