Job summary

Capital One in Nottingham is seeking a Junior Finance Cost Business Partner within the UK Cost/FP&A team. You will build relationships with stakeholders, own reporting, budgeting, and outlooks for core tech areas, and drive financially sound decisions with guidance from your manager.

You’ll work in a hybrid Nottingham pattern, collaborating with senior leaders and gaining exposure to the Head of FP&A and UK CFO. Your role combines analysis with cross-functional influence.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills with repeatable BAU solutions using OneStream/Google Sheets.
• Advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills.
• Desire to develop coding skills with AI support in FP&A work.
• Good communication with junior and senior stakeholders.
• Able to discuss business areas and explain financial impacts clearly.
• Proactive team player who supports Finance and wider business.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and simplify financial and non-financial data.
• Build strong business relationships to embed context in outputs.
• Partner with stakeholders to produce monthly outlook and annual budget reports.
