Job summary

Capital One UK is seeking an experienced FP&A Senior Analyst in Nottingham. You will drive data-driven insights, build dynamic models, and support senior leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and investment analysis.

This role engages cross-functionally with Finance and business teams to deliver accurate financial narratives. You will partner with the FP&A Director and other leaders, managing portfolio insights and contributing to strategic financial planning.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills: bridging finance reporting and business context.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical skills: analysing opportunities, variances, and narratives.
• Understanding of accounting principles: P&L, budgeting, forecasting.
• Strong technical skills: Python, SQL, Google Apps Script a plus.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and simplify financial and non-financial data.
• Develop dynamic financial models and scenario analyses for investments.
• Support investment pitches and long-term forecasts for pitches.
• Assist with ad hoc requests from leadership.
• Contribute to Monthly Financials Review (MFR) and other reporting.
• Drive process improvements within FP&A.
