Job summary

Capital One UK in Nottingham is seeking a Finance (FP&A) Analyst to drive executive reporting and portfolio insights. You will partner with Finance teams and US stakeholders to deliver accurate messages, supporting month-end, quarterly reviews, and ad hoc reporting with high quality and timely delivery.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and advanced analytical skills. Hybrid work with three days in-office (Tue-Thu) and two remote days, based at our Nottingham

Qualifications

• Functional knowledge of accounting and financial principles (P&L, budget & forecast).
• Strong attention to detail and proactive results delivery.
• Excellent analytical skills including variance and trend analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships across internal and external teams.
• Mindset focused on continuous improvement and change agility.
• Willingness to learn new tools (Python, SQL, Snowflake, AI).

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and simplify financial data for executive reporting.
• Support Month End reports and monthly financial review processes.
• Collaborate with FP&A and US stakeholder teams to deliver messages.
• Assist with Quarterly Financial Reviews and other monthly tasks.
• Address ad hoc reporting requests from leadership.
• Develop reporting to monitor performance against targets and budgets.
• Ensure reporting uses the most up-to-date information and insights.
