Job summary

Herefordshire Council seeks a Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Delivery & Development Practitioner to join its TEC service in Hereford. The role blends frontline installation with service development, requiring hands-on experience in telecare equipment across homes and community settings.

You will assess people over the phone and in homes, select and configure TEC solutions, and contribute to ongoing improvements. Agile working and occasional Herefordshire travel are included.

Qualifications

• Practical telecare and TEC installation experience is an essential requirement for this role.
• Ability to demonstrate hands-on installation, configuration, testing and fault-finding of telecare and TEC products including daily activity monitoring.
• Experience interpreting monitoring information, identifying concerns or trends and communicating findings clearly.
• Experience in assessing needs, risks and outcomes within health/social care or community settings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals and complete strengths-based TEC assessments.
• Independently install, configure, test, fault-find and explain telecare and TEC solutions.
• Set up and review daily activity monitoring and interpret data to show changes in routines, risks or needs.
• Contribute to equipment evaluation, pilot projects, training and stock oversight.
