Job summary

Plumb Centre in Kings Lynn, GB is seeking a Team Supervisor to help manage daily branch operations and support staff. You will handle customer inquiries via phone and email, supervise colleagues, and contribute to delivering excellent service at the trade counter.

The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with standard hours and Saturday rota. Knowledge of health and safety, sales techniques, and product lines is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety requirements, particularly in first aid, manual handling, fire situations, and mechanical handling.
• Understanding of transport legislation.
• Ability to confidently work with and interpret numerical and written information.
• Knowledge of proactive and advanced sales techniques, merchandising, and ways to maximize margin.
• Knowledge about the specific product lines stocked by the branch and Wolseley systems.
• Familiarity with branch administration, audit trail, supply chain, and policies.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages for creating documents and working with data.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Branch Manager/Branch Supervisor with the day-to-day running and operations within the branch and taking charge when they are not available.
• Supervising and supporting colleagues, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals.
• Mainly office-based work, including servicing customers via phones and emails.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07:00 AM - 17:00 PM, and Saturday on a rota basis 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
