Job summary

SGN in Oxford is recruiting a Team Manager (Repair & Connections) to lead operational activities within budget and supervise both employees and contractors across Emergency, Repair, Connections, Replacement and Reinstatement processes.

You will ensure a safe, efficient service to customers and drive improvements in performance by embracing innovation and challenging the norm. A full driving license is essential with a readiness for high-frequency standby rota.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the gas industry, legislation, and health and safety policies is essential.
• Motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work.
• Strong leadership, organisational and diagnostic skills with initiative.
• Effective communication at all levels within and beyond your team.
• Commitment to safety and coaching/leadership; ready for high workloads and incidents.

Oxford | £46.1k - £57.8k per annum (dependent on skills and qualifications)

Full- time| Hybrid/Office based

• Managing operational activities within budget allocations
• Managing both SGN employees and contractors across all the range of operational activities, including the Emergency, Repair, Connections, Replacement and Reinstatement processes
• Providing a safe, efficient and effective service to all of our customers
• Performance Management, delivering improvements in performance by embracing innovation and challenging the norm

What you will need

• An extensive knowledge of the gas industry, legislation, and related health and safety policies and procedures is essential
• Highly motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work
• Good leadership, organisational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills and be able to act on your own initiative
• Effective communication skills at all levels, within and beyond your own team.
• Committed to safety and to providing coaching & leadership
• Be prepared to do extra to support colleagues during high workloads and incidents
• A full valid driving license is essential and there is a requirement to participate in a high frequency 24-hour standby rota.
