Job summary

SGN in Poole is seeking a hands-on field leader to manage and motivate field-based teams delivering essential gas network services across Emergency, Repair, Replacement and Connections. You will drive performance, champion safety, and support continuous improvement while ensuring customers receive outstanding service.

The role requires strong leadership, broad knowledge of the gas industry, and a full UK driving license, with the ability to work mainly on-site and manage contractors and SGN

Poole | £44.4k - £55.5k per annum (dependent on skills and qualifications)

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive performance, champion safety, support continuous improvement, and ensure our customers receive an exceptional service. • Managing operational activities within budget allocations.
• Managing both SGN employees and contractors across all the range of operational activities, including the Emergency, Repair, Replacement, Connections & Competency processes.
• Providing a safe, efficient and effective service to all of our customers.
• Managing performance, delivering improvements in performance by embracing innovation and challenging the norm.

What You Will Need

• An extensive knowledge of the gas industry, legislation, and related health and safety policies and procedures is essential.
• Highly motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work.
• Good leadership, organisational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills and be able to act on your own initiative.
• Effective communication skills at all levels, within and beyond your own team.
• Committed to safety and to providing coaching & leadership.
• Be prepared to do extra to support colleagues during high workloads and incidents.
• Be prepared to be mainly field based out on-site driving team performance
• A full clean UK Driving License is essential for this role
