Job summary

SGN in Poole is recruiting a Team Manager (Operations) to lead field-based teams delivering essential gas network services. The role focuses on safety, performance, and customer excellence in Emergency, Repair, Replacement and Connections activities.

You will manage both SGN employees and contractors, drive improvements, and ensure a high standard of service while adhering to budgets. A full UK driving licence is required and travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of gas industry, legislation, and health & safety policies is essential.
• Motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work.
• Strong leadership, organizational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills with initiative.
• Effective communication at all levels, within and beyond own team.
• Committed to safety and coaching/leadership.
• Willing to support colleagues during high workloads and incidents.
• Primarily field-based, driving team performance.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence is essential.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive performance, champion safety, support continuous improvement, and ensure our customers receive an exceptional service. • Be prepared to do extra to support colleagues during high workloads and incidents.
• Be prepared to be mainly field based out on-site driving team performance
• A full clean UK Driving License is essential for this role
