Job summary

Bleckmann, the Backstage Crew behind fashion and lifestyle logistics, is looking for a warehouse shift lead in the UK. The role covers managing a floor or area, guiding staff, and ensuring smooth operations during the 16:00–00:00 shift, with extra hours during peak periods.

Salary ranges from £28,000 to £33,000 plus a shift allowance. You’ll drive safety, coach the team, and coordinate with clients while managing KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in logistics, retail, or e-commerce.
• Experience managing teams and coordinating workflows.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems such as JDA.
• Delivers accurate work with focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and team engagement.
• Automation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff and workflow in a designated area.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed.
• Support team development through coaching and feedback.
• Assist with performance management and absence procedures.

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 16:00 -00:00, with flexibility required during peak periods. The role offers an annual salary between £28,000.00 - £33,00.00, depending on skills and experience,plus an additional shift allowance.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Responsible for managing an assigned floor or area within the warehouse, including operational processes, people, and client relationships; proactively planning labour, equipment, and activities during the shift; and fostering a safe working culture that supports team and individual development.

Key tasks:

• Manage staff and workflow in a designated area

• Ensure safe working practices are followed

• Support team development through coaching and feedback

• Assist with performance management, disciplinary procedures, and absence management in line with company policies

• Drive continuous improvement and support ad hoc projects

• Be accountable for team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, accuracy, and service levels

Profile:

• Leadership experience, preferably in logistics, retail, or e-commerce

• Experienced in managing teams

• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems such as JDA

• Delivers accurate, high-quality work while seeking continuous improvement

• Communicates respectfully and inspires team engagement

• Automation experience highly desirable
