Job summary

Henderson Group is hiring a Team Leader for Eurospar Gilford. You will help lead the store team to deliver a great customer experience across 22.5 hours per week, including shifts across a 7am–11pm window.

The role includes responsibility during the absence of other leaders and potential Post Office duties. You must be 18+, have at least 6 months of supervisory experience, and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills to drive results and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
• Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (keyholder).

• Train, manage workload and support your team, while hands-on in store to ensure resources are in the right place.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance through the store plan and priorities.
• Promote and participate in initiatives to support the local community.
• Cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.
• Complete the Post Office Vetting Application (basic NI and financial check) if successful.

Team Leader, Eurospar Gilford, 2 Banbridge Road, Gilford, Co Down, BT63 6DJ

£14.63 per hour & benefits (Rate of pay rising to £14.83 per hours from October 2026) 22.5 hours per week, within the hours of Monday - Sunday 7am- 11pm. Opening, closing and weekend shifts will be expected.

A look into the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

As Team Leader you will:

• Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
• Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
• Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
• You will be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.
• If successful in your application, the offer will be subject to satisfactory completion of the Post Office P250 Vetting Application, comprising of a basic access NI and financial check

Skills for Success

Joining us as Team Leader, theminimum criteriayou’ll need is:

• You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.
• A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members
• Target driven to help to store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
• Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
• You must of aged 18 or over for this position (legislative purposes)
