Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a Temporary Extra Care Team Leader to manage and mentor Support Workers within an extra care housing complex in Bristol. The role includes supervising teams, coordinating schedules, and supporting residents with daily living activities while maintaining personalized care plans.

The position is a maternity cover for a temporary period, offering a competitive salary and a clear path for professional development within our supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a Team Leader / Senior role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care required, with a willingness to work toward Level 3.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the people we support.

Responsibilities

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
• Building positive relationships within the extra care community.

Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team based at Lincoln Gardens, Lincoln Street, Lawrence Hill, Bristol, BS5 0BZ.

At this time, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

This role is a temporary role for maternity cover.

About the Role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality support to people living independently within their own homes in the extra care complex. Our approach emphasizes understanding and responding to the unique needs of each individual, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their well‑being.

You will be the first point of contact for the care and support provided, with responsibilities including:

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
