Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking an Extra Care Team Leader to join our Knowle service in Bristol on a maternity cover contract. You will supervise Support Workers and coordinate daily schedules to deliver tailored care for people living independently.

The role blends hands-on support with team leadership, focusing on building strong relationships, mentoring staff, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment across the extra care housing complex.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a Team Leader / Senior role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care required, with a willingness to work toward Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Support Workers and conduct supervisions, team meetings and mentoring.
• Coordinate schedules and allocate tasks to maintain personalised support plans.
• Support people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility and personal care when needed.
• Build positive relationships within the extra care community.

This role is a temporary role for maternity cover

About the Role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to people living independently within their own homes in the extra care complex. Our approach emphasizes understanding and responding to the unique needs of each individual, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their well-being.

You will be the first point of contact for the care and support provided, with responsibilities including:

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
• Building positive relationships within the extra care community.
