Job summary

Radis Community Care in St Neots is seeking a Full Time Team Leader for our Extra Care Scheme. The role blends care delivery with administrative oversight, 37.5 hours per week, with a 50/50 split of shifts and office hours (9am–5pm).

You will supervise care packages, support Radis staff, and lead regular meetings while coordinating tasks and contributing to on-call duties. An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or working towards Level 3) and strong communication are required; an enhanced DBS

Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader experience desirable but not essential.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to people we support needs.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for care packages; supervise, support, and guide Radis Staff.
• Schedule and allocate care tasks ensuring care plans are followed, including personal care and medication.
• Support people directly with personal care, medication, and community activities.
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide emergency cover as required.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Full Time Team Leader to join our team in Poppyfields, St Neots.

This is a Full Time position, 50/50 Care and Admin, including a mixture of Shifts and Office Hours (9am - 5pm). 37.5 hours, per week, contract.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Scheme, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care by overseeing care packages and supporting both people we support and Radis Staff. This role requires strong leadership, flexibility, and a commitment to upholding dignity, choice, and respect in every aspect of care delivery.

You will:

• first point of contact for care packages, offering supervision, support, and guidance to Radis Staff through regular meetings and check-ins.
• Schedule and allocate care tasks, ensuring that care plans—including personal care and medication—are followed accurately in a in a manner that is specific to the People we support
• Support people directly with personal care, medication, and community-based activities when needed.
• Take part in the on-call rota and provide emergency cover for care-related support as required.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

Previous experience as a Team Leader will be desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3, or happy to gain the qualification. You will have good written and verbal commination skills and have a willingness to learn in line with the people we supports needs and expectations.

This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

A driving license with access to a vehicle will be desirable but not essential.
