Job summary

The Martlets, East Preston, West Sussex, within Shaw healthcare, is seeking a Part Time Residential Team Leader to manage a Friday night shift roster and oversee high standards of person-centred care for our residents. You will lead the team, ensure accurate medication administration, and maintain care plans in line with Shaw policies.

The role offers £15.36 per hour for night shifts (20:00–08:00) on a 12-hour pattern every other week, with benefits under Shaw's Employee-Owned framework,

• Experience working with older people in residential care.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care or equivalent.

Salary: £15.36 per hour

Shift Times: Night shifts (20:00-08:00) on 4 weekly Rota - Week 2 & 4 = Friday nights

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Residential Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at The Martlets, an 80-bedded nursing care home located in East Preston, West Sussex, England. The purpose-built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person‑centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice.
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures.
• Report changes in residents needs or well‑being promptly to the Line Manager.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date care plans and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care.
• You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent).
• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people.
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative.
