Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a Residential Team Leader for Deerswood Lodge in Crawley, West Sussex. The role involves leading shifts, ensuring high standards of person-centred care, and supervising a team in a 90-bed dementia, residential and respite setting.

You will oversee medication administration, coordinate care plans and communicate with residents and families. NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent is expected, with flexibility for day and night 12-hour shifts and alternative weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older people in residential care.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent) completed or in progress.
• Flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people.
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice.
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures.
• Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation.

Salary: £15.36-£16.00 per hour
Hours: 24hrs days 36hrs nights per week
Shift Times: Flexible on 4 week Rota, 12hr day shifts 07:45-20:15 or 12hr night shifts 20:00-08:00- requirement to work alternative weekends

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with older people in residential care
• You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
