Job summary

Shaw healthcare's Glebe House in Southbourne is seeking a Residential Team Leader to oversee a 40-bed home for older people, including those with dementia. You will lead a dedicated care team, ensure person‑centred care, and promote best practice on shift.

The role requires NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent), flexibility, empathy and strong communication. 27 hours weekly with night shifts on a 4‑week rota, salary £15.36/hour.

Salary: £15.36 per hour
Hours: 27 hours per week
Shift Times: Flexible on 4 week Rota, 12hr night shifts 20:00-08:00 - includes alternative weekends

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Residential Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Glebe House, a modern, 40-bedded care home located in Southbourne, near Chichester. The purpose-built service provides residential care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person‑centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures
• Report changes in residents needs or well‑being promptly to the Line Manager
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues
• Maintain accurate and up-to‑date care plans and documentation

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care
• You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
