Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a caring Residential Team Leader for Cartref, Hay-on-Wye. This 14-hour contract offers £15.08 per hour and a chance to lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality care to older people, including dementia care, in a supportive, employee-owned environment.

You’ll motivate staff, supervise care delivery, ensure medication safety, and maintain care plans while building strong relationships with residents, families and the wider healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Experience working within residential care for older people.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards it.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring colleagues, or the confidence to step into a leadership role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, patient and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely administering and recording medication in line with company policies

About the Role

As a Residential Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where residents receive outstanding care every day.

You'll lead by example, supporting and motivating your team while ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained throughout every shift.

Your responsibilities will include:
