Shaw healthcare is seeking a Residential Team Leader for New Elmcroft in Shoreham by Sea, near Brighton. You will lead a care team, uphold person-centred care, and ensure safe medication administration for a 60-bed home offering nursing, dementia, residential and respite care.

The role is 24 hours per week with 12-hour shifts (days or nights) on a flexible rota, paying £15.36–£16.00 per hour. Benefits include employee ownership and progression opportunities.

Salary: £15.36 - £16.00 per hour

Hours: 24 hours per week - either days or nights available

Shift Times: Flexible on 4 week Rota working 12hr shifts (either days 07:45-20:15 or nights 20:00-08:00) - includes alternative weekends

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Residential Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at New Elmcroft, a 60 en-suite bedded care home located in a quiet residential setting in Shoreham by Sea, close to Brighton and Worthing. The facility specialises in nursing, dementia, residential, and respite care, providing a safe and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures
• Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation

Qualifications And Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care
• You will have completed your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
