Job summary

Liaise East Anglia is seeking a Team Leader to guide and supervise carers daily, ensuring that every person we support leads a happy, purposeful life. You will organise rosters, complete staff appraisals and promote professional standards across the team.

You will motivate, mentor and support staff, foster teamwork, and ensure safeguarding and health & safety are upheld while maintaining a positive service environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and experience working with vulnerable people.
• Must be mindful of safeguarding and health & safety standards.
• Ability to make effective decisions and organise resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise carers day-to-day and conduct regular staff appraisals.
• Ensure good team working and mentoring of staff when needed.
• Organise staff allocations and breaks to maintain service coverage.
• Promote professional image through communication, behaviour and appearance.
• Support positive, person-centred care across services.

What You Will Be Doing

• Acting as a role model by leading and supervising carers day-to-day, working alongside them and completing regular staff appraisals.
• Ensure good team working.
• Motivate, support and mentor the staff when needed.
• Organising staff allocations and breaks
• Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance.

• Strong communication skills
• Takes pride in working with vulnerable people and takes safeguarding responsibilities seriously
• Effective decision making and judgement
• Strong planning and organisation skills
• Successfully completed NVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care (or equivalent)
• Achieves all Health & Safety standards
