Job summary

Cygnet in Preston is seeking a confident Care & Support Team Leader to drive excellence at Elston House, a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities.

You will work 42 hours a week on 12-hour day shifts, leading a care team, delivering person-centered support, safeguarding, and continuous improvement, with opportunities for learning, supervision, and flexible overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings and leading a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, service users and families.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and welfare responsibilities.
• Willingness to undertake supervision and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs & report as required
• Support management in the day-to-day running of the service

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Team Leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You'll be working full time 42 hours a week (12 hour shifts – days only), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Elston House.

Shift pattern

• Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2 – Wednesday & Thursday

Elston House

Elston House is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, who may also present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Your Day-to-Day…

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
