Job summary

Cygnet is looking for a confident Senior Support Worker to join Elston House, a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities. You will work full time (42 hours per week) on 12-hour day shifts, supporting individuals to lead healthier, more independent lives.

You will provide enhanced care, supervise and guide the team, and help manage day-to-day running while safeguarding residents. DBS check required; training and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a support worker in a care setting.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team and maintain high standards of care.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to individuals in our care.
• Offer guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' needs and provide tailored assistance.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
• Support management in day-to-day running of the service.
• Undertake supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all.

We are looking for a confident Senior Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You'll be working full time 42 hours a week (12 hour shifts - days only), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Elston House.

Shift pattern:

• Week 1 - Monday, Thursday, Friday
• Week 2 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Elston House is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, who may also present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Your Day-to-Day...

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs & report as required
• Support management in the day-to-day running of the service
• Undertake supervisory & administrative responsibilities
