Job summary

Cygnet at Elston House is looking for a confident Care & Support Team Leader to join our specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities. The role carries a 42-hour week with 12-hour day shifts, delivering enhanced care and guiding the care team to promote independence and community integration.

You will lead the day-to-day running, supervise staff, and ensure safeguarding and a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a support worker stepping up to a leadership role.
• Excellent communication with staff, service users and families.
• Confident, assertive and ambitious for the service and users.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day care delivery at Elston House.

You'll be working full time 42 hours a week (12 hour shifts - days only), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Elston House.

Shift pattern

Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday

Elston House is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, who may also present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Your Day-to-Day...

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs & report as required
• Support management in the day-to-day running of the service
• Undertake supervisory & administrative responsibilities
• Safeguard
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all.
