Job description

Team Leader - Cramlington

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to assist in managing the day-to-day running of our service in Cramlington, helping the individuals we support with all aspects of their lives.

The role requires the successful candidate to be caring and supportive, delivering person-centred support to a diverse range of service users with complex needs. Residents are supported throughout the day and night to live as independently as possible.

At Emery Court bungalows and apartments, residents benefit from a vibrant staff and community network, while enjoying peace and quiet when needed.

The property includes ten apartments, each with an open-plan kitchen and living room, a bathroom with a shower cubicle, and a bedroom accessed via stairs. Additionally, there is an apartment with two bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living room, and a bathroom. Emery Court also features two onsite bungalows, each with one bedroom, an open-plan kitchen and living area, and a bathroom.

Outside, there is a small grass area for relaxation when the weather permits. Assistive technology tailored to individual needs includes intercom, CCTV, and a Tunstall connected care system.

We offer all new staff paid induction training, with ongoing training and personal development encouraged.

  • Experience working with these client groups is essential, particularly with service users with mental health needs, which would be an advantage.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this qualification, or a minimum of 2 years' experience in the learning disability sector is essential.

We value our staff team highly and appreciate their vital role in our success.

We invest in our staff through:

  • 28 days holiday pro rata
  • A comprehensive induction leading to a recognized qualification
  • Access to award-winning training and development
  • Pension contributions into NEST Scheme via salary sacrifice, offering NI savings*
  • Tax-free child care vouchers through salary sacrifice for working parents
  • Cycle to work scheme after 6 months of employment
  • Discounts and cashback at high street shops, supermarkets, cinemas, gyms, theme parks, holidays, and more via Lifeways Rewards
  • Option to purchase a health cash plan for dental, glasses, therapy, etc.
  • 24/7 employee assistance program for advice and support
  • Recommend a Friend Incentive
  • Award schemes and recognition via My Lifeways
