About The Role

We are looking to recruit an additional team administrator to support the Cheltenham Permanency Teams in Grosvenor Hall in Cheltenham. These teams work within Gloucestershire County Council’s Children’s Services, with a focus on Children in Care and Care Leavers. We have 4 Cheltenham Permanency Social Care Teams, comprising of Team Manager’s, Social Workers and Leaving Care workers, who support children who enter care who can then transition into our Leaving Care Teams, on a journey towards independence.

Your role would be to support the Cheltenham teams with a variety of administrative tasks, process financial documents to ensure our young people and their families receive the necessary funding as required, whilst providing good customer service in person and on the telephone. Duties will include: -

  • Greeting visitors and Young People to the building and signposting on to relevant professional
  • Preparing documents using Microsoft Word
  • Updating spreadsheets using Excel
  • Booking meetings using Microsoft Teams and our internal room booking system
  • Processing finance requests
  • Uploading documents to our bespoke database Liquid Logic (training will be provided)


About You

We are looking for applicants who would like to join the Cheltenham Permanency Social Care admin team, where the work is varied, and interesting, no two days are the same! We would like applicants to have excellent IT and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a flexible approach with an ability to manage your workload to meet deadlines.
