Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with diverse needs in specialist and mainstream settings across Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping students access the curriculum and develop communication and social skills while supporting positive behaviours and emotional regulation.

Qualifications

  • Previous UK experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
  • Experience supporting SEN, SEND, SEMH or Autism needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • References covering your recent employment history.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
  • Support students with SEND and additional learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Assist pupils in developing communication and social skills.
  • Help students access the curriculum and achieve their individual targets.
  • Support children and young people with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Complex Needs.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and personal development.
  • Provide personal care support where required.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and school staff.
