Job summary

Presfield High School & Specialist College in Nottingham is seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA3) to work 34 hours per week, term-time plus one inset week. The role supports pupils with ASC, assists with implementing structured learning strategies and helps create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

You will support delivery of the curriculum across Key Stages 3–5, help prepare and evaluate intervention programmes, and assist teachers with resources.

Teaching Assistant (TA3)

The successful candidate will work 34 hours per week, Term Time plus 1 week (Inset Days)

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant (TA3) with a proactive, can-do attitude to join our supportive team at Presfield High School. This role involves supporting pupils with ASC, taking a lead in implementing structured learning strategies, and helping to create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every student feels understood, supported, and able to achieve their full potential

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Whilst previous experience of working in a SEN environment would be desirable, candidates who possess the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilence are just as important.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of the curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5 in line with the plans of subject and curriculum leads, prepare, deliver, and evaluate intervention programmes for pupils of different ages and abilities, and support pathways for formal qualifications such as Entry Level and GCSE. They will assist teachers, both specialist and non-specialist, with the preparation and organisation of resources required for lessons and learning activities.
