Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in South Bristol from September. You’ll support pupils to learn, laugh, try again and feel proud of themselves in a warm, nurturing environment.

Ideal for someone with experience in a primary school or strong transferable skills, you’ll help with reading, writing and maths, work with small groups or individuals, and contribute to a positive classroom culture.

Protocol Education are looking for a brilliant Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in South Bristol from September. The school is Ofsted rated “Good” and is attached to a nursery, giving it a lovely community feel and a nurturing environment for children from their earliest years right through primary school.

What you’ll be doing

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be right in the heart of the school day, supporting pupils to learn, laugh, try again and feel proud of themselves.

Your day might include:

• Supporting children in the classroom
• Helping pupils with reading, writing, phonics or maths
• Working with small groups or individual children
• Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
• Helping the class teacher create a fun and engaging learning environment
• Being that friendly, steady person who makes school feel like a safe and happy place

To clear you for work, we will need:

• A passport or proof of your right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education
• Any gaps in work or education clearly explained
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more in the past five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
