Job summary

Meadows First School is offering an exciting Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship for an Apprentice SEND Learning Support Assistant within the Meadows Pathway. You will support pupils with additional needs, help them access learning and participate in school life, with full apprenticeship training and mentoring provided.

Location in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, 30 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 TED days.

  • Encourage development of communication, social, emotional and independence skills.
  • Support children during lessons, breaktimes, lunchtimes and school activities.
  • Observe and report on pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Prepare and organise learning resources and classroom environments.
  • Promote safeguarding, positive behaviour, attendance and inclusion.
  • Participate in apprenticeship training and professional development opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Meadows Pathway SEND team.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant SEND Apprenticeship - Meadows First School
Overview

Meadows First School is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual to begin a career in education as an Apprentice SEND Learning Support Assistant within the Meadows Pathway provision. The role involves supporting pupils with additional educational needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and participate fully in school life. Full training and support will be provided throughout the apprenticeship.

Key Apprenticeship Details
  • Programme: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
  • Employer: Meadows First School
  • Role: Apprentice SEND Learning Support Assistant (Meadows Pathway)
  • Wage: £13.28 per hour
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:15pm
  • Contract: Term Time Only plus 5 TED Days
  • Location: Stourbridge Road, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 0AH
  • Training Provided: Full apprenticeship training package and ongoing mentoring
  • Experience Required: Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential
