Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Bristol is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary, secondary and specialist SEN settings in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

You will work with class teachers to support pupils in and out of the classroom, providing 1:1 or small group support and helping pupils reach learning and wellbeing goals across a range of settings.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or vulnerable adults is desirable.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach is important.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Willingness to support a range of additional needs and behaviours.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

The role

Vision for Education are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools throughout Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

Whether you have previous school experience or have supported children or vulnerable adults in another setting, we would love to hear from you. We have a variety of opportunities available including day-to-day supply, long-term placements and permanent positions.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. Depending on the setting, you may provide 1:1 support, work with small groups, or assist the whole class, helping pupils to achieve their individual learning and wellbeing goals.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or vulnerable adults (desirable but not essential)
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A willingness to support a range of additional needs and behaviours
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
