Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to work full-time in the BS15 area of Bristol. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, term-time only, initially under a 0-hour contract with potential for a permanent position.

You will support pupils in class and in 1:1 or small-group interventions, helping them reach their learning goals and develop confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Vision for Education.

Vision for Education are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a welcoming primary school in the BS15 area of Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development. You will work alongside experienced class teachers, supporting pupils both in the classroom and through small group or 1:1 interventions to help every child achieve their full potential.

The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only. You will initially be employed on a 0-hour contract through Vision for Education, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the school for the right candidate.

The Role

• Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support learning.
• Encouraging children's confidence, independence and social development.
• Helping to create a positive, safe and engaging classroom environment.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has a genuine passion for working with children.
• Is patient, enthusiastic and reliable.
• Can build positive relationships and adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
• Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one through Vision for Education.
