Job summary

Scotch Orchard Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a caring and committed team. You will support pupils individually and in small groups, helping them progress and build confidence.

As a Level 3 TA, you will work under teaching staff to deliver engaging activities, observe progress and contribute to assessment, while promoting inclusive and positive behaviour within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience of working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Caring, patient and committed to helping every child reach potential.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
• Understanding of how to support learning and development.

Responsibilities

Job description

Scotch Orchard Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to support pupils in their learning and development, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment. You will provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping pupils to make progress and develop their confidence and independence. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the delivery of engaging learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
• Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to support their learning and development.
• Provide appropriate support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning, communication or social development.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging their confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team.
• Observe and provide feedback on pupils' progress and contribute to assessment and record keeping where appropriate.
• Support the wider life of the school and contribute positively to the school community.

• Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Has experience of working with children in a school or similar educational setting.
