Job summary

St Paul’s CE Primary School in Oldham is seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support learning in both small groups and whole classes, assist in planning and resource organisation, and contribute to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

The role requires a positive, energetic colleague who can uphold our Christian ethos and promote excellent behaviour and learning outcomes for all pupils.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting learning in individual and group settings.
  • Ability to plan, prepare resources, and support learning activities.
  • Capable of supervising whole classes occasionally while maintaining engagement.
  • Committed to upholding the Christian ethos of the school.
  • Proven ability to promote positive behaviour and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with specific learning needs to access the curriculum.
  • Assist in lesson planning and resource preparation.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and welfare of pupils and staff.
  • Help maintain classroom order and supportive learning environment.

Based: St Paul’s CE Primary School Church of England Primary School

Contract: Fixed Term until July 2027 (subject to review)

Salary: £29,542 - £32,046 (full time full year equivalent)

Actual Salary: £22,399 - £24,298 per annum (Grade 4)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Hours: 32.5 per week, term time plus 5 days

Closing Date: Monday 5 October
