Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team in Burnley. The role focuses on supporting learning, delivering targeted interventions, and helping pupils access the curriculum with care and enthusiasm.

The successful candidate will work with individuals and small groups, assist with resources, promote positive behaviour, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff. This is a long-term contract with hours 8:30am–3:30pm, Burnley location.

Qualifications

  • Holds a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1.
  • Good understanding of the National Curriculum and classroom practice.
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Patient, flexible, and committed to supporting individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

Salary: £14.75 - £15.75 per hour
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday
Contract: Long-term
Start Date: Monday 2nd November 2026
