Salary: Grade 2, £3,448 - £3,502 per annum. £12.65 - £12.85 per hour

6.25 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year

Required for January 2026

The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Level 1 Teaching Assistant - Welfare, to join our friendly and caring school team.

They will need to:

  • have high standards and expectations in all areas of school life and will be committed to a teamwork approach.
  • supervise pupils during mid-day break in the dining hall, toilets, classrooms and school premises.
  • support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour.
  • assist individual pupils with eating if required.
  • clean spillages and ensure that tables are clean during mealtimes.
  • establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
  • promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities.
  • assist with first aid, sickness and other welfare issues.
