Job summary

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form invites applicants for Teaching Assistants (Level 1). The role supports our students in class and with learning, under the Inclusion and SENDCO team. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.40am–3.40pm during term time, with possible inset day training.

Salary is £25,185–£25,583 per annum pro rata, with actual salaries £17,074–£17,344; band D points 4–5. The school offers CPD, a supportive team, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust has vacancies for Teaching Assistants at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form.

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is the only secondary school in the community of Kenilworth, is oversubscribed with engaged and motivated pupils. Since September 2023, Kenilworth School and Sixth Form has been based in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art campus on Glasshouse Lane, offering staff and students an exceptional modern and prestigious environment for teaching and learning.

Ofsted rated the school as Outstanding in November 2023, maintaining our rating from 2013. The school is well resourced to support the delivery of the subject. The post holder will join a supportive team with opportunities for professional development.

The Role

Our Teaching Assistants carry out a varied role to provide general and administrative support to our students. The responsibilities include working in-class with teachers and supporting students under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and SENDCO. Teaching Assistants provide support with a variety of learning, physical and sensory needs and can work one to one with students.

We are looking for someone who is computer literate with a range of good standard of education.

The hours of work are:

Monday to Friday 8.40am to 3.40pm on a term time only basis

There may be a requirement to attend training on inset days as directed.
