The Queen Elizabeth Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our learning support team. This part-time post (25 hours/week, 39 weeks/year) is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to help them prepare for their future.
You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support pupils, while helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role requires Maths and English GCSEs at C/4 or above and good communication skills.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)
Salary: NJC 6 - 10
Actual Salary: £15,103 - £16,094 per annum / FTE Salary: £25,988 - £27,693 per annum

The Queen Elizabeth Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated part time Teaching Assistant, who will work well as part of a team who truly want the best from our students. If you enjoy working with young people and would like to help them prepare for their future working lives, we would like to hear from you.
As a key member of the learning support team, you will work under the guidance/instruction of designated teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area under the guidance of teaching staff.
The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE grade c/4 or above and have previous experience of working with children. You will have the ability to multitask, have good organisation and time management skills and have effective oral and written communication skills.
