Job summary

Allestree Woodlands School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a committed team. The role is full time (37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year) and permanent, with a salary within Grade 2 (£21,567 - £22,610 actual salary per annum pro rata).

You will work in partnership with teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum and support students with varying needs to achieve their best.

Teaching Assistant
Grade and Salary: Grade 2: £21,567 - £22,610 actual salary per annum pro rata (£25,185 - £26,403 FTE)
Working pattern: 37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Teaching Assistant to join a committed team at Allestree Woodlands School. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, hard-working and are passionate about supporting young people achieve their best. The successful candidates will work in partnership with teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice, policies and procedures.

The person:

Patience will be key to this role as you will be supporting students in a specific curriculum area or support students with varying degrees of learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties. You will play an integral part in ensuring students with any degree of SEND meet targets and progress in line with students not on the SEND register.
