Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 child with Autism (ASD) in Cardiff. This is a full-time role starting October 2026 with a daily pay of £93.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help the child access learning, build confidence and participate in class activities, while maintaining a caring and patient approach.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Ideally have experience supporting children with ALN/SEND, particularly Autism.
• Be patient, nurturing and understanding of individual needs.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be confident supporting a child on a 1:1 basis.
• Be reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive difference.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 2 with Autism (ASD). The successful candidate will be caring, patient and confident in supporting children on an individual basis, helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and engage positively within the classroom.

The ideal candidate will:
