Aspire People Limited seeks an Experienced Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEND and Autism on a 1:1 basis in Key Stage One at a school in Smethwick, West Midlands. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored strategies, support academic, social and emotional development, promote independence, and help create an inclusive learning environment. Prior SEND/Autism experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEND and Autism.
  • A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and parents.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by children with Autism and how to provide support tailored to their needs.
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support - SEND/Autism)
Location: Smethwick, West Midlands
Position: Full-Time, 5 Days a Week
Hours: 08:30 AM - 03:30 PM

They are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEND and Autism on a 1:1 basis in key stage one.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a student who has Autism and other special educational needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing personalized 1:1 support to a student with SEND and Autism.

Assisting with academic, social, and emotional development, helping the student to achieve their best.
