Job summary

Affinity Partnerships are seeking full and part-time learning support assistants to work in Primary and Secondary schools in the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will have experience with children, confidence supporting diverse learning needs, and a positive, encouraging approach to educational support.

You will join a team committed to safeguarding and professional development, with options for PAYE or umbrella pay schemes and support in CV writing and applications.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in teaching assistant roles or similar.
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Confidence supporting KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 curricula.
  • Experience supporting children with a range of needs including autism and speech and language difficulties.
  • Team player with initiative and a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

  • Support children across Primary and Secondary settings.
  • Assist with the delivery of the KS1–KS4 curriculum and activities.
  • Support children with various learning abilities and needs.
  • Contribute to a positive, safeguarding-focused learning environment.

Job description

Affinity Partnerships are looking for full and part-time learning support assistants to work in both Primary and Secondary schools in the Bristol area.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with children, whether that's as a teaching assistant or another role involving working with children, confidence in working with children with a variety of learning abilities and needs, be encouraging and positive as well as being supportive to their educational needs.

The successful applicant:

  • Have a sound understanding of Primary and Secondary Education
  • Have excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Have confidence supporting the KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
  • Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour
  • Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties both in smalls groups and 1:1.
  • Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
