Job summary

St Elizabeth’s Centre in Hertfordshire is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist School and Sixth Form. You will support students 1:1 and in small groups, helping them learn, communicate and build independence in a safe, inclusive environment.

No formal qualifications are required; the right attitude and willingness to learn matter most. The role is term-time only with structured hours and full training provided, plus benefits like DBS, parking and meals.

Qualifications

• Experience in education or care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Confident communicator who can engage positively with children who have learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

Location: St Elizabeth’s Centre, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire
(Just 10 minutes from Bishop’s Stortford and Harlow)Contract: Term-time only (Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year)Salary: £21,390- £22,281 per annum (£13.30 – £13.86 per hour)

Working alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals, you'll help learners get the most from their time at St Elizabeth's - both academically and personally.

That could mean supporting a pupil 1:1, helping a small group with an activity, encouraging communication, developing independence or simply being the person who gives them the confidence to have another go.

You'll see progress in all sorts of ways - A new skill mastered, a new friendship made, a choice communicated, a little more independence
