Job description

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to support young people with additional needs to achieve success, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

This is much more than a classroom support role. You'll become a trusted adult, providing encouragement, stability, and guidance while helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Every day brings new opportunities to make a genuine difference, whether that's supporting a breakthrough in learning, helping a student build confidence, or celebrating milestones that others may take for granted.

If you're patient, resilient, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting students' learning, wellbeing, communication, and personal development.
  • Building positive relationships that help students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
  • Working alongside teachers and other professionals to deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
  • Delivering targeted support to help students overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student can succeed.
Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally within education, SEND, care, youth work, or support services.
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable to individual needs.
  • Able to build positive relationships and inspire confidence in others.
  • Calm and consistent when faced with challenges.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
  • Driving licence required
