Outcomes First Group is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support young people with additional needs at New Barn School. This role goes beyond classroom support, offering stability, encouragement and guidance to help students overcome barriers to learning.
You will work with teachers and specialists to deliver engaging learning, build positive relationships, promote independence and contribute to a nurturing environment where every student can succeed.
We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to support young people with additional needs to achieve success, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This is much more than a classroom support role. You'll become a trusted adult, providing encouragement, stability, and guidance while helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills they need to thrive. Every day brings new opportunities to make a genuine difference, whether that's supporting a breakthrough in learning, helping a student build confidence, or celebrating milestones that others may take for granted. If you're patient, resilient, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing
At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity. We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a 'Great Place to Work' for the sixth year running.
We place students and vulnerable young adults at the heart of everything we do, so every day brings the satisfaction of making a real difference. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.
