Job summary

Outcomes First Group’s Papworth Hall School in Cambridgeshire is seeking a SEN Teacher to support children with complex needs. You will deliver personalised learning with small class sizes, working within a multidisciplinary team to maximise each pupil's progress.

The role is permanent and term-time only, with 40 hours per week, starting November 2026. QTS required, experience with SEN, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs.
• Creative, patient and adaptable with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that inspire pupils and enable meaningful progress.
• Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
• Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and personalised learning pathways.
• Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning.
• Promote positive behaviour through nurturing, relationship-based approaches that build confidence and resilience.
• Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, holistic support.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and able to succeed.
• Champion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, ensuring every child has the opportunity to flourish.

Papworth Hall School is in the picturesque village in Cambridgeshire. It is within close proximity to Huntingdon and Cambridge.Our new specialist school caters for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs and has the capacity for 30students.

For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
