  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student can succeed.
About You
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally within education, SEND, care, youth work, or support services.
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable to individual needs.

About us

Set in the heart of the Rutland countryside, Stretton Shires School is an independent day school catering for autistic young people and those with associated needs, offering specialist secondary education for students aged 11–18.

Established in 2005, we are currently growing our day student numbers, meaning we are continually recruiting passionate and dedicated staff to support our growth aspirations.

We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.

We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth year running.
