This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 3:30pm within their brand-new nursery, supporting children aged 2 to 4 years. There is also the opportunity to work longer days for those interested, as the school offers wraparound care, although this is entirely optional. This role is ideal for a passionate Nursery Practitioner who enjoys supporting young children during the important early stages of their development. Working within the new nursery provision, you will help create a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to develop through play and exploration. The school is looking for someone with a positive attitude who can build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents, and who is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities.
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 2 to 4 years.
  • Supporting children's communication, language, literacy, and numeracy development.
  • Encouraging children's personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children to develop independence.
  • Observing, assessing, and monitoring children's progress, providing feedback where appropriate.
  • Supporting children's personal care needs when required.
  • Preparing and organising learning resources and activities.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Supporting both indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role, you will need:
  • A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or school-based Early Years setting.
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and nurturing approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to use initiative.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Working as a Nursery Practitioner for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
  • Competitive daily pay rates, from £92.56 to £100per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Holiday Pay - PAYE candidates accrue 12.07% of their day rate.
  • Pension Contributions.
  • Free, comprehensive safeguarding and Prevent Duty training, including modules on legislation, FGM, and abuse.
